How a Scout-led troop works

In Troop 8848 the Scouts make the decisions and the adults coach. Here is how that works in practice.

What we do in a year

The trail to Eagle

Scouts advance at their own pace through seven ranks: Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle. New Scouts work toward First Class in their first year with help from a Troop Guide.

About this sample

Troop 8848 is a fictional troop, named for the height of Mount Everest in meters. Every name, place and number on this site is made up. Patrol Box built it to show the kind of website a real unit can run: plain pages a Scout can edit, events from a text file, photo albums from folders, and youth protection rules built in.
